Pjatakova (Balaton x Popova by Podsneijnik)
British National Champion 2004, Twice Austrian National Champion
The "swan" PJATAKOVA
Pjatakova was bred by the Kossack Stud in Holland. Her dam, the famous Popova by Podsnejnik out of Poliana, is one of the most precious mares at the Kossack Stud. Popova was Nations Cup champion as a yearling and is one of the most successful straight Russian show mares in Europe. She has inspired all of those fortunate enough to see her in the flesh.

Pjatakova's sire Balaton needs no introduction, the sire of World Champion Kubinec, Balenina, Abakan, Absent, Verbala, Sibiria and lots more. Hans Trummer has chosen her when she was still in utero and when she was born, he drove to Holland to have a look on that foal. To buy her, he had to sell 4 other horses, but it was worth every amount of money.
Pjatakova inherits her mothers beautifully refined head and fabulous elevated movement from the Salon line. Not only is she amazing to look at but she has a temperament to die for. She stands at a huge 15.3hh and yet retains her exquisite type and refinement.

Pjatakova is known in Austria as 'The Swan' because of her beauty and is as versatile as she is beautiful. She is the dam of 5 fillies to date, is a superb ridden horse in both Western and English disciplines and also remains a superb in hand show horse. She gained Austrian National Champion titles as a two year old and also as a four year old and was Reserve in 2001. BRITISH NATIONAL CHAMPION MARE was added to her long list of successes in 2004.

Her daughter Moldavia, by TR Viktor, became Austrian National Reining Champion in 2004. Vienna Regional Reining Champion '04 and was 5th at the European Reining Championships - all this in only her first season!

When Michelle and Hughes came to our stud to see Pjatakova, they loved her because she exemplifies ideal Arabian horse qualities and we all hope for more beautiful babies from her in the future.
